You can use the chip comparison chart below to know which chip works with what drive types so you don't get caught out buying the wrong chip for your console. Please note that the WiiKey does *NOT* support the latest D2C / D2C2 / D2E model Wii consoles and only the DMS & D2B models. Before you order any chip for your Wii console, you should check the serial number of your Wii using the the link below to make sure which model of console you own so you can order the correct chip for your Wii drive type. Once you have checked your drive model and are 100% sure of the type, the table below will show you which chips will work on your drive type.

| The WiiKey v1 is one of the first and still most popular chips for installation on the early model Wii DMS & D2B, they are very low cost and do a great job in those models, firmware updates avalible from the official WiiKey website, these is also a config disk avalible that allows you to select and enable certain functions for the WiiKey chip. |  |

| The D2CKey was the first chip released for the D2C consoles released in Oct 07, they only work in the D2C consoles, but were made buy the same team that brought us WiiKey, so they are stable and reliable despite their high wire count. Compatibily with these chips is excatly the same as the newer ones released, so if you own a D2C console these chips are still one of the best. | |

| The D2pro is the top end chips also from the makers of WiiKey and D2CKey, these are right now the most popular chip being used for D2C2 & D2E model consoles, they support DVD upgradeability and also have the added J-Tag upgrade support. The D2Pro team have been vigilant in releasing updates for these chips and will continue to do so in the future. | |

| The Wasabi v2 is a direct competior to the D2Pro, they are an extremely stable chip and were the first to accheive the 9-wire install back in Feb, they will work with all consoles including the new D2C2 & D2E model Wii. The only downside to these chips is their current price, but apart from that these chips are one of the best solutions for the D2C2 & D2E consoles as well. | |

| The D2Sun v1.38 is the latest chip from D2Sun team and is aimed at the installer market, they are at a rock bottom price, but work just as good as more expencive chips such as D2Pro. They support all model Wii drives but do lack firmware update support, with that being said they work perfectly as they are and we really don't think there will be the need to update the firmware. | |

| The WiiZard v2 mod chip was made by the team that produced the very first Wii mod chip the WiiNinja, the Wiizard v2 is the latest release from them and supports the same functions and compatibility as Wasabi and D2Pro, the Wiizard also supports DVD flash updates and a 9-wire install on D2C to D2E model consoles.
